TRHC Dog Show The Carolinas Equestrian 01 October 7 at 12:30pm at Harmon Field - Every dog has it's day at everyone's favorite dog show! With $1 classes including Best Tail Wagger, Best Costume, Best Trick, and of course, the Dog That Would Rather Be at Home. All proceeds will be donated to local organizations - in the last two years we have donated over $10,000 to the Foothills Humane Society and the Polk County K-9 officer.  Pole County Sheriff's Department Officers Jared McFall and Rento will demonstrate Rento's skills in suspect apprehension and vehicle searching. There will also be a demonstration by a search and rescue team! Food and beverage vendors will be on site. There will also be plenty of children's games set up to provide hours of fun and entertainment!

TRHC Dog Show The Carolinas Equestrian 02 October 21-22: Tryon Riding and Hunt Club is excited to host the 43rd Annual TR&HC Horse Trials and College Team Challenge at FENCE on October 21-22, 2018. Opening Date is September 4, so please get those entries in early to take advantage of the early bird discount! We are offering levels from Starter all the way through Preliminary, with dressage and cross country on Saturday and show jumping on Sunday. Mr. Richey has over 30 years experience as a mounted police officer, and almost as many as a trainer/instructor.He has spent countless hours training officers and civilians from all over the United States to perform safely and professionally.

Clinic Overview

The de-spooking clinics are divided into five sections
1. Horse Physiology and Psychology
2. Equitation Techniques
3. Mounted Drill
4. Mounted Obstacles
5. Mounted Sensory

 Before the course is through, horses and riders will ride over teeter-totter bridges, walk through smoke and toward police lights and sirens while maintaining their place in the drill. All of this will happen simultaneously by the end of the two-day clinic.

Come and experience a Mounted Police Training School, you will be amazed at what you can do!

Entry fee is $450 with a $50 discount for entries paid in full by Sept 30, 2018. Field is limited to 15 horses and filling fast.

A limited number of stalls are available for overnight stay for $35 including parking for trailers.

Auditors are welcome, $35 for a two day pass. $25 for a one day pass. Bring chairs.  Lunch will be provided.
