Shannon Habenicht

Editor/Marketing Director/Advertising Sales

Shannon and her family enjoy spending time with each other and with their crew on their small farm – Grand Times Farm. The “crew” includes Finley’s pony – Theo; mini-donkeys – Riley and Donkey; Aussie – Hazel and Golden mix – Oakley; and barn cats – Charlotte, Maverick and Sprinkles. Shannon grew up riding at Cedarhill Farm, where she started with her feisty Connemara pony – Grannie – with Nora Cooke at the Providence Road location when she was in kindergarten!

Shannon attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia, moving to Washington, DC, after graduation where she spent several years in the restaurant marketing and public relations industry, before returning to North Carolina. The Habenichts moved to Waxhaw a few years ago and, now, whether it’s riding the trails, playing baseball or doing “farm chores” – she and her family know they are home! Ride on!
